Mitch Albom's TUEDAYS WITH MORRIE

This is the autobiographical story of Mr. Albom, an accomplished journalist driven soley by his career, and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor. Sixteen years after graduation, Mitch happens to catch Morrie's appearance on a television news program and learns that his old professor is battling Lou Gehrig's Disease. Mitch is reunited with Morrie, and what starts as a simple visit turns into a weekly pilgrimage and last class in the meaning of life.

Volunteer Workshop: The Working Relationship between Hospice and Skilled Nursing Homes/Assisted Living Facilities
Pathways Hospice works hard to maintain excellent relationships with the staff of the nursing homes and assisted living facilities. There are all sorts of tricky intricacies to this relationship including critical and timely communication, what cares we offer in an assisted living setting, upholding facility regulations and more. In this presentation, Michele Desnoes, counselor and clinical educator, will offer the bigger picture as well as educate as to the ways that Pathways is proactively improving the care we provide in facilities.
