PATHWAYS provides private, individual counseling to adults,
adolescents and children who are grieving or living with
a serious illness. Counselors specializing in grief and
loss provide counseling on a grief therapy model. Depending
on your needs and interests we also provide specialized
individual counseling through creative therapies as well
as play and sand tray therapies for children.
Fees, Insurance & Medicare
Family members of Pathways Hospice patients receive counseling,
without a charge, as part of the patient’s hospice benefit.
For other community members, Pathways provides grief counseling
on a sliding fee scale based on ability to pay. This enables
people to receive the care they need, regardless of financial
circumstance. Some insurance companies do include grief
counseling in their coverage, but we are most likely “out
of network” and the co-pay may be higher. We are a Medicare
provider for counseling and it will cover grief counseling
on a case-by-case basis.
