The Enduring Legacy Society
Pathways Hospice created The Enduring Legacy Society to recognize and honor those donors who have invested in the future of Pathways Hospice through estate plans, bequests, retirement plans, charitable gift annuities, trusts, life insurance and other deferred or planned giving options.
The financial contributions that we receive from donors enable us to provide much needed hospice care and grief support to an ever increasing number of people in our community. In 2007 alone, Pathways Hospice provided hospice care to 943 patients and their family members and also supported and counseled more than 5,700 community members struggling with the loss of a loved one. The Enduring Legacy Society helps ensure the sustainability of our organization, the services we provide, and the future of hospice care in our community. Gifts from Enduring Legacy Society donors will be placed in our endowment fund at the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado.
Endowment management & estate planning

In order to provide for our success, we have partnered with the Community Foundation to establish an endowment to which we can direct charitable donations and gifts. Through this partnership, Pathways Hospice receives responsible, third-party management of its charitable funds. We additionally benefit from the Community Foundation’s technical expertise regarding estate planning. Pathways Hospice also has several estate planning attorneys in Larimer County who volunteer their advisory services to us.
2008 Challenge Grant

In order to help us grow our assets to meet our current and future financial needs, the Community Foundation has issued a challenge grant to us. For every $2 we raise in 2008, they will contribute $1 to our endowment fund, up to $70,000. That means that if we successfully raise $140,000 by the end of the year, they will add $70,000, creating a total of $210,000 to be added to our endowment fund.
